Plumber in Tallahassee
Hello. I am a 26-year-old construction worker that has fled from California all the way to here in Florida for the very same reason everyone is leaving California: to find work. Ever since the recession in 2008, I've lived in a massive state of poverty, taking whatever work I could get to barely make ends meet every month, but now it's not enough and I didn't want to keep staying there waiting for a miracle to happen. So I came here for a fresh start. Right now, I'm still out of a job needing to help pay the monthly apartment rent, but I'm free anytime, and I'm willing to take any type of work--part time, full time, temporary--and get paid at any wage at a fairly consistent rate, even if it's the State of Florida's minimum wage (7.79 an hour, last I checked). Right now, I'm a temp-for-hire at Labor Ready, but that can only help me so much. I've worked since 2004 in the plumbing business at the Riverside/Orange County areas in Southern California, but when the recession came along in 2008, I had to take on-site construction work on the side to make a living. My skills include: ABS/Copper/PVC/Steel pipefitting, heavy-lifting (for water heaters) trenching for sewer/gas/water lines, and installation of toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and tub/shower faucets. I've also gained experience in minor demolition in preparation for remodel, on-site cleaning, and hauling on-site trash to nearest waste receptacle. I can send my resume to anyone who contacts me via email or phone. Please respond as soon as possible. Thank you!
