Job Description Title: Master Instructor & Sub Instructor position OPEN Department(s): Education Department Job Summary: Oversee the Education Department to develop and maintain all plumbing training programs provided by the Training Facility. Support Director of Apprenticeship Training in all aspects of Apprenticeship Training. Summary of Essential Job Functions: • Teach classes; assist with curriculum development and training laboratory upgrades. • Follow lesson plan binder; with instructions, text and code book references and quizzes due for each half of each semester for each Apprentice grade level upon direction of Master Instructor. • Maintain training labs, equipment, and supplies. Ensure that the labs are clean, well lit, and held to the highest level of safety standards with weekly safety checks. • Maintain relationships with vendors for trainings and apprentice sponsorship for various events Minimum Requirements: This position requires only a high school diploma or a GED Certificate, and 7-10 years minimum in the plumbing field. Experience with teaching and apprenticeship programs a plus. Must be willing to follow through with certification procedures in a timely manner through the California Dept of Education.
