Plumber Job in Calgary, Alberta

Our client, a leader in new residential construction plumbing, is looking for a Plumbing Purchaser/Estimator for their office in Calgary. Job Description: Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with all departments, this position will have the responsibility for all purchasing and estimating: • Source and purchase materials and services for office, shop and field • Review, maintain and issue required purchase orders to preferred vendors • Review, maintain and recommend appropriate levels of inventoried materials and consumables • Schedule and expedite product and service deliveries as required to maintain schedule • Review invoices against purchase orders to ensure correct pricing • Review all returns for accuracy • Setup and monitor all job files • Source and estimate materials and services for bid process including customer specification review and formal quotation preparation • Control all communication for customer scheduling and quote requests • Handle all job scheduling and prepare weekly job schedules for the field • Review all paperwork for job completion and follow up on incomplete jobs Qualifications: • 5-10 years of residential field plumbing experience • 1-2 years of purchasing, estimating, scheduling • Excellent multi-tasking, time management, communication and problem solving • Excellent Microsoft Office skills • Well organized, efficient, detail oriented and able to work with others and without supervision Preference will be given to plumbers with purchasing/estimating experience.
